Maintenance checklist

FOR EVERY RIDE

To fully enjoy your new branded bicycle, it is essential to regularly check its operation and carry out timely maintenance. Below you can read how to do that:

Brakes:

Check the brakes. When squeezing, the brake lever must not touch the handlebars.

Make sure the brake pads have contact over the entire braking surface.

Tyres:

Check whether the tires are sufficiently hard. A weak tire is harder to pedal and wears out faster.

Inflate the tires regularly to reduce the chance of a flat tire.

Wheels:

Check that the wheels rotate evenly.

Pay attention to the distance between the rotating wheel and the brake pads; this must remain constant.

Sounds:

Bounce the bike a few inches on the ground and listen for any strange noises.

Check that all parts are properly secured if you hear anything unusual.

Prevent crate overload:

The loadable weight may not exceed 8 kg.

Make sure that the bicycle does not become difficult to control if there is too much weight on the front.

Dry storage:

Preferably store the bicycle in a bicycle shed.

MONTHLY

Bolts and spokes:

Check that all bolts are properly tightened.

Check that all spokes are tight.

Tire maintenance:

Check the tires for cracks and wear when inflating.

Clean the bicycle regularly to prevent erosion and rust.

Lubricate:

Grease all bolts with Vaseline.

Use acid-free Vaseline for aluminum, chrome and steel parts to prevent rust.

Give the rest of the bike an extra layer of protection with silicone spray.

Relief:

Check the lighting regularly and replace the light or batteries if necessary.
